Estonia makes world-class cider, quality apple wine, and we’ve bottled a delicious distillate – Põhjaka Apple Eau-de-Vie – made from Estonian apples.
This drink is the so-called first swallow of the Põhjaka distillery – a clear “water of life”, packed with crispness, the taste of autumn apples and is quite spicy.
Põhjaka Apple is distilled from the apple wine produced in our own distillery, which has been allowed to mature for a year before distillation.
Double distillation has preserved the apple flavour and added character.
