Gin no.57™ is the first gin from Põhjaka Distillery, which, like all Põhjaka products, is as domestic as possible. It is a London dry style gin, using rye spirit made in Rakvere, 16 carefully selected herbs collected from the gardens of Põhjaka and Esna manor.
It took a lot of experimentation and 57 different recipes to get the right recipe. Hence the name Gin no. 57.
Our aim was to make a gin that was lightly drinkable, with citrus and floral notes. The herb garden and the mid-summer blooming flower garden of Põhjaka Manor were a big inspiration.
Gin no.57 is distilled in our unique copper still, made by Estonian blacksmiths to our own design. Each batch is unique and consists of a maximum of 260 bottles.
