A Short Story
Craft with Heritage
About our founders
From England to Estonia
The story begins with a family from the UK moving from the city of Hull (which coincidentally means 'crazy' in Estonian) to a rural life in Estonia, with the small challenge of restoring a heritage-listed manor, including its old distillery.
About our ethos
Natural and organic
The German side of our founder & distiller shows when it comes to controlling every step of our production. Everything is as authentic and sustainable as possible, with care and attention paid to the quality and nature of our ingredients, process and packaging.

Võhmuta or Wechmuth?
Our village shares the Estonian name of the manor, Võhmuta. Since the letter õ is difficult to pronounce, even for some locals, we use its original German name, Wechmuth. There has been a distillery on our estate for hundreds of years.

Craft with heritage
Since most Estonian manors used to have a distillery, we chose the name Manor Spirits as a nod to the heritage of local craft spirits. Barons once built their manors with vodka money, and we will use it to rebuild ours.
